Introduction to KC Infocomm Club

Here will be a introduction to KC Infocomm Club and what will we be doing for 2008! (:

Below is the information which will be relevant to the Sec 1s who are interested in joining Infocomm Club. Most of the information below are what is introduced to the Sec 1s during the CCA presentation on Friday, 4th Jan.

When is Infocomm training?
It will be on either Wednesdays or Fridays.

Where will the trainings be held?
Trainings will be held in the Computer Labs in our school. Further notice will be put up as for which Computer Labs we will be using.

For 2008:

We will be introduced to programmes like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Flash, and Adobe In Design.

Adobe Illustrator defines the future of vector graphics by providing indispensable tools to cross media design professionals, Web designers, and Web developers for efficiently publishing artwork. It adds exciting new creative features such as Live Distortion, allowing users to easily bend, stretch, and twist text, graphics, and images in any way imaginable using live enveloping, warping, and liquefy tools. Distorted objects and text remain completely editable no matter how much they have been manipulated, giving users unprecedented creative flexibility.

Infocomm Club will also be learning how to do amazing looking animation with Adobe Flash in Term 2 and 3! Adobe Flash is used to create content for the Adobe Engagement Platform, such as web applications, games and movies, and content for mobile phones and other embedded devices. Flash technology has become a popular method for adding animation and interactivity to web pages; several software products, systems, and devices are able to create or display Flash. Flash is commonly used to create animation, advertisements, various web page components, to integrate video into web pages, and more recently, to develop rich Internet applications.

Next, Adobe In Design has established an outstanding reputation as state-of-the-art design and page layout software. Its comprehensive creative and production tools have been continuously refined based on feedback from publishing professionals around the world.
During last year, we learnt about video editing and digital animation. Basically, during training, we will learn how to do a video. Some of these videos that we made will be send to competitions. Also, we will also be introduced to various programmes that will be used and needed while you are doing a video during the trainings.
